Peregrine collaboration project

The Lincs Bird Club has received this message:

As many of you know, Zoe who headed up the Peregrine Network project, doesn't work for the Hawk and Owl Trust, but now works for BTO.

Together with Mike Harmer, I am looking to continue the collaboration over peregrines nationally, and, to this end, we are looking to expand People for Peregrines to a national level, so that it can function as being the collaboration mechanism.

Zoe is supportive of the idea. Me and Mike are proposing to run this. It is very informal and is not affiliated with the Hawk and Owl Trust. It's an independent organisation and we are both volunteers with the birds as the priority.

We are proposing to create a whatsapp group and if anyone wants to join they just need to give us their numbers.

As initial actions, we also aim to do an annual newsletter and potentially have a meeting.

The web site will also be revamped (People for Peregrines) to reflect the national picture. One aim would be to have a link to all of the UK web-cams that are active. Another use would be to disseminate research and guidance in relation to peregrines and to publish best practice in relation to nest boxes, surveys and the like.
