I echo Alan and Peter's sentiments.  An excellent, professional publication - well done to all concerned.

Mark Avery is the former Conservation Director of RSPB, blogger, author and founder member of Wild Justice. Attendees of the LBC AGM will remember Mark from the stimulating talk he gave us several years ago,  his popular blog on bird matters and his excellent books including Fighting for Birds and a Message from Martha.

He has just published his review of Birds of Lincolnshire on his blog and to my mind as one of the authors it is a well considered balance of praise and criticism that gives the potential reader an excellent mouth watering insight into the content of the book which most of you won’t see for another couple of days yet. Anyway here is a link to Mark’s blog for those who want to build up their sense of anticipation markavery.info/blog/
