Yes, definitely write something, John, aka Max.

Andrew Chick is the editor of The Heron, the monthly e-newsletter. However, he might already have filled next month’s edition.so publication might have to wait until April.

If you can write for this forum, you are more than capable of writing for the newsletter.

Over a period of two nights in the last three weeks I looked at the e-Newsletters (only ever read one once) covering late 2017, all 2018 and same 2019 looking to see if I had got a mention of the long-stay Bramblings but sadly they were not worthy of any mention whatsoever! Not all entries in the newsletters were rarities, quite a number were bog standard, there were no mentions of any Brambling be it mine or anyone else's. Jim Wright did ask me to write a piece during 2018 but I didn't take him up on his offer, the reason being in my years as a writer I always had no confidence in my writing even though I was published in different magazines and newspapers, and my fellow writer friends ( none who are anything to do with LBC) often said I am a excellent writer be it articles or stories etc. Creative writing can be fun as I have found out many times but when one suffers from no confidence it isn't fun and that is the main reason I stopped writing for magazines etc.

I'm now wondering if I could write a few lines in the Newsletter just so I can go on record to say a little about the 70+ days the Brambling/s visited my garden every day? I know I recorded it most days on the Sightings section but only a few of us read it. No matter if I can't, I'll just carry on as normal
