Dawn Balmer of the BTO has thanked Lincolnshire Bird Club for its part in yesterday's joint conference which attracted more than 130 participants.

In response to a note of appreciation from LBC committee member Joy Croot, she says:

"Thank you for your kind words, and thanks to Lincs Bird Club for supporting and promoting the conference.

"We would appreciate any feedback you receive. It would have been interesting to know what attendance would have been like if we hadn't been in lockdown, but I think the timing was good, allowing many to get out birding in the morning.

"Technology worked well - we ran it from The Nunnery (the BTO's HQ in Thetford, Norfolk) with good Internet."

* Following the conference, four new members have joined the club
