I saw the house crow and I agree about the intermediate egrets, that’s what I thought having seen them in Nepal. Is anybody watching Robson Green walking Hadrian’s wall? He set off from Walls End in Newcastle (it must have been filmed in summer) and you could see the Kittywakes on the Tyne. The furthest inland nesting colony.

We record the game and start watching after our lunch. The birds start to gather there by the afternoon session. See photo of crow. Still no treecreeper at black bank but male and female great spotted woodpecker regular + about 14 long tailed tits

I think they are Intermediate Egrets, lots of House Crow on pitch and did have a single Great White Egret during 1st Test. We need to get a grip on this match though. Have got a great photo of a crow from the match and I will attach it later for you. Great place for the game, we have been there before the tsunami.

Me pal text me that 100 cattle egret were ducking from the ball and had I seen it, no I hadn't, modern day cricket I find boring, but looked anyway, all I saw was a Crow BUT excellent cricket, so watched next day as well. If my dad and brother both of whom played locally and for the county in the 1950s heard me say their sport was boring I daresay I would get kicked off the pitch

A bit of birding watching Sri Lanka v England test match today -
Constant flock of egrets which I think might be Intermediate egrets + large numbers of House Crow and 1 G W Egret. Need the cameras to focus more on the birds !!!
