For the record.... was created by Phil Hyde
As no-one has posted to this most valuable section of the forum, there are 3 "notable" escapees to report on as follows:

(1) Drake Wood Duck, Gibraltar Point on 9th April for a few days, and then at Frampton Marsh early May onwards, carrying a pink/lilac ring (Photo courtesy of Dave Roberts).

(2) Two Azure Tits trapped, but not ringed, at GPBO as one was carrying a pink plastic ring, on May 11th (Photos courtesy of George Gregory).

(3) White Stork, found by JRC and PE at Manby Flashes on May 12th and after photographic microscopy found to be carrying a very close-fitting red ring with barely visible numbers, and no metal ring (Photo courtesy of John Clarkson).

Since the above, and certainly the Azure Tits, someone in Essex tweeted news of this aviary selling all kinds of stuff, including Azure Tits:

Personally, I find this abhorrent and I hope the RSPB and/or RSPCA will give them a visit.

Best regards
Phil
