good images are the best way for colour ringed wild birds John although I have recorded several dozens with scope and notebook
when I have had good views.

Decided on info I received today not to bother trying to read the rings of this pigeon, although am not a fan of feral ones have decided to let it be.

Advice Please was created by John T Goy
Noticed a feral pigeon with two numbered rings on its right leg, wondered if its a racing pigeon gone astray. I've tried reading the numbers through bins but it won't stay still long enough. Is there an easy way of reading them or should I not bother? Never read rings before so new to this. had thought about taking a few pics and blowing them up to see numbers.

Thanks

John
