As the avocet ring was found in the peregrines nest, I'd say it was.

Amongst the plastic rings collected when clearing up the Louth peregrines' nest was a BTO ring. Just received the results:
This bird was ringed by D Stevens as age nestling, sex unknown on 22-Jul-2003 time unknown at Welney, Norfolk, UK
OS Map reference TL5393 accuracy 0, co-ordinates 52deg 30min N 0deg 15min E accuracy 0. It was found 5461 days after it was ringed, 97 km from the ringing site, direction N.
