So, had this email this morning:

Dear Nick Coulbeck,
I'm writing to you on behalf of the International Wader Study Group (IWSG), as the Species Expert (SPEX) for Black-tailed Godwit.

Apologies for the late reply.

This bird was ringed in France at the Reserve Naturelle Moeze-Oléron. I sent your record to the ringer. Unfortunately the bird had two more colour rings on the other leg, and without it will be not possible to individualy identify it to get the bird's history.
