Thanks Russell great images nice report , having been to southern Portugal several times myself I find it an easy budget birding and wildlife place if you visit the proper places and there is a very good website with all the info including some nice reserves only 20 to 100 kms inland..

Portugal 13th April to 20th April 2018 with Garry Wright, Kev Shone and Eric Buckley.
Temperature high teens to mid twenties with light rain on day two.
Quiet for migrants but got to see several new birds and also found a Ring-necked Duck.
