Did you go to Beacon Hill for the raptors it's not far from the reserve. I always went and to another place on the wolds way which has good views it was always good for Red Kite, Goshawk (if lucky), Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, Peregrine and Kestrel. 

Had hoped to visit NCW earlier this month for an optics weekend but wasn't able.

Went to North Cave today for the first time to try for the Savi's Warbler. Didn't get it of course, but lots of nice other birds.
