Irresistable but .......

On Friday the 19th the lure of the north and its star bird in Whitby proved to be irresistible. So i braved the snow and traffic problems in Scarborough. The snow was ok with the major routes being clear. Traffic problems in Scarborough were a real pain but patience got me up to Whitby Abbey and the long staying Desert Wheatear. A cracking bird that was virtually tame

Unfortunately BirdGuides on Sunday were reporting that all that was left of this bird was four tail feathers as it seems likely that it has fallen prey to a predator

What a bird and well worth the long trip to see
