I've just looked through my old Lincs Bird Reports and I am missing 1984-85. Typical! But in 86 they had 150 at Gib Pt, not 1,000 but still good. Lincs also hosted 21 Yellow-Browed in 85, and a record breaking 22 in 86, which was when I saw my first one at Rimac.

That must have been amazing. I agree, I don't think it will ever be repeated.

I was fortunate enough to be on the BTO Ringing Course at Gibraltar Point in 1985. It was held in the last week in August and coincided with a very pronounced passage of Willow Warblers when over 1,000 were ringed in the week. (See Lincs Bird Report 1985). I'm pretty sure that this will never be repeated.

It's that time of the year when they are all skulking about moulting after raising their broods. They will be back for Winter.

Well done mate!
Oddly all the birds have gone from my gardens even the spuggies which for the latter is most unusual. One of my mates two miles away text tonight saying all his regular birds have gone but had a few Buzz and Sprawk's over past few days.
