As it’s the weekend for national pink feet geese counts, I took a 1 hour watch of the Saltfleetby nnr roost
i estimated 4800 leaving the roost in various skeins over a 50 minute period
also 4 whooper swans south over foreshore and heard more not seen as walking back through dunes.
regards. John

A good number on my local patch at East Halton at the weekend, with 2419 leaving their regular roost on Cherry Cobb Sand in Yorkshire to feed on stubble at East Halton.
A further 615 birds joined them during the day making for a welcome sight and sound.
Regards,
Steve.
