158 curlews roosting early this morning also 168 sandwhich and 17 common terns, all north of Churchill Lane foreshore access
on outer beach ( low tide).

3 juv Little ringed plovers on scrape 0808
juv wheatear at Elm House farm 0408

high numbers of sandwhich terns over recent days with up to c600 roosting
and a small number of common terns , c 1200 black headed gulls also roosting as peak of spring tides have passed
a begging long eared owl juv heard in dense hawthorns early morning,0808.

Visit to Brickyard Lane at 6.00 AM. 5 Arctic Skuas harrying terns, one light, the others dark. Around 30 terns over the sea, 15 sanderling, 12 Dunlin, 12 Oystercatcher and one Whimbrel.

Then on the scrape at Rimac; one juv. Little Ringed Plover and 4Green Sandpiper.

An evening count on rising tide of nnr foreshore,sightings included
Black headed gull c 680, common gull 176, greater bb gull, 42, herring gull 33,
Sandwich tern 41, common tern7, cormorant 14, shelduck 26,
several terns , gannets , 2 arctic skuas over sea, 11 whimbrel in over,

out again this morning same area, sightings included
c90 common scoter , 12 gannets feeding , 23 sanderling, 17 sandwhich terns , 5 little egrets feeding in gully
