Better still try saying it once after having a skinful of ale ;)

I like the name Alan, what's the odds you still won't get a mention in the e-newsletters ;)

It reminds me the time I first went to NKNR with me regular at that time birding pal and I saw also an unusual gull among a few more, I made notes but at that time didn't have a camera and neither did me mate, when i got home consulted all guide books and the nearest I could say it was , was a Great Black-headed Gull, I even rang and told a well known north Lincs birder etc, now would have been a feather in me cap if I'd seen that!

Bit of a tongue-twister - try saying it three times quickly.

New for the world? Then you'd better give it a name, Alan. How about Hudsonian gull?

I also think it must have been some sort of an oddity as I have looked at numerous books and photos and cannot find anything like it. Perhaps we can claim it as new for the world !!!

I'll start it off as no one else has, how about a 1st winter BH Gull or 1st winter Common Gull or just an oddity.
