John
Perhaps best to postpone visit for a few weeks pending the meeting with Mike Sleight, the council’s ecology officer.
This has been set for 10am on Tuesday March 5 at the Discovery Centre which is next to the boating lake on Cleethorpes seafront.
Mike will give a project update on the proposed Cress Marsh wader reserve currently under construction at Stallingborough near Grimsby.
Here’s hoping it becomes North East Lincolnshire’s equivalent of RSPB Frampton!
The meeting will provide an opportunity to quiz Mike about access arrangements, bird recording etc, etc.
All LBC members are welcome to attend, and there will probably also be some members of the Grimsby RSPB and BTO groups.
