Re the bird hide. The current situation is that it is open between 8.30am and 2pm Monday to Friday. But the council is interested in the possibility of involving one or more LBC member(s) in taking on part of the locking/unlocking responsibility on a voluntary basis - at the same doing a bit of bird monitoring. It would be a good opportunity to get involved in an interesting wetland bird project at a very early stage.Anyone interested? If so, I’ll let Rachel Graham at the council know.

You should have knocked on the window, Nick, and offered yourself for an impromptu interview.

Interestingly, there was a Radio Humberside van parked alongside the Novartis fence this morning. One person sat in it, and they never got out. Late?

Visited the site this morning, and had a good look at the signage around the presentation area. One part of the sign seems to imply that the site will be open to the general public. At present, the gate to the hide has a padlock on it. Although the main pathway gate to the site is open.
