Messingham Sand Quarry Access is limited to permit holders only this being a reserve of the Lincolnshire Trust. The entrance to the reserve car park (SE 908 032) is off the B1400 800 yards/mtrs south of the T junction from the B1400 at Messingham, signposted to Kirton Lindsey, and is approached down a rough track on the left. Some of the pits and surrounding fields can be overlooked from the minor road which runs from the B1400 at Messingham village to Scawby and also from the B1400 adjacent to Mells Farm.
