RARE & SCARCE BIRDS - 2007
My 2007 film of ‘Rare & Scarce Birds' is now available in either video or DVD form. Once again, 2007 has been an exceptional year for unusual birds with the Pacific Diver in Yorkshire taking pride of place, closely followed by the American Robin , Spotted Sandpiper , Brown Flycatcher and Red-flanked Bluetail in the same county. Elsewhere, the White-tailed Plover in Caerlaverock/Lancashire generated enormous interest, as did the White-billed Diver in Cornwall, Iberian Chiffchaff and Little Bittern in Norfolk, Black Stork on Anglesey, Wilson's Phalaropes at Grafham Water/Bishop Middleham, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper in Kent and the autumn ‘Moltoni's' Subalpine Warbler in Norfolk. All of the above mentioned birds are included in the 2007 production. I have been able to film around 23 Lincolnshire sightings plus a further 16 from neighbouring Yorkshire.
