BTO Atlas Update - March 2010
The map below shows the current summer 'species richness' as recorded in the Bird Atlas project in Lincolnshire. The map shows the actual number of species where we have possible/probable/confirmed breeding in each 10km square, and the colour compares this to the previous Atlas; red being >90% of species recorded in the last Atlas, orange is 75-90% of species and yellow is 50-74% of species. These colours will allow us to target our effort over the coming breeding season. Individual maps for the regions can be found here:
North - http://blx1.bto.org/atlas-results/mapslinn.html
East - http://blx1.bto.org/atlas-results/mapsline.html
South - http://blx1.bto.org/atlas-results/mapslins.html
West - http://blx1.bto.org/atlas-results/mapslinw.html
So if you are visiting an area that is orange or yellow, then please submit your records online (www.bto.org/birdatlas) and help us make sure the county is well represented in the Atlas.
