6 Bean Geese (possible Taiga race) at Bardney Main Pit. There is NO access to Bardney Pits but it is possible to view the main pit from the West bank of the River Witham at TF118681, park at TF115674 walk NE down the track and then NW back along the river bank.
The Lincs Bird Club December Boston meeting features Wildlife Crime by Wildlife Liaison Officer Nigel Lound and an ID quiz with a difference!
Please note that this meeting is on Tuesday 2nd December and not Tuesday 9th December. It will be at the usual venue (The Eagle public house near the train station) and the usual time, 8pm.
There is also an optional curry afterwards in the Rose of Bengal. A special price of £6 has been negotiated for a medium hot chicken curry with rice and vegetables. Numbers are limited to 20, but there are still four places left.
The curry needs to be booked, so if you'd like to come along and haven't booked please call Barry Hancock on (01205) 280057 by Thursday 27 November.
Tetney Marshes 20th Nov - At least 12 mobile Lapland Bunting on saltmarsh off fitties yacht club, they do occasionally get on the upper beach just to the right of the yacht club, ( 3 Shorelark were reported here again yesterday so they're still in area ), also male Hen Harrier, 2 Peregrine, Grey Wagtail, + 3,500 Golden Plover and 3,000 Lapwing in area.

Great Grey Shrike at Kirton, Great White Egret at Grainthorpe Haven, Lapland Buntings at Frampton Shore RSPB, Sardinian Warbler and Pallas Warbler at Skegness and Shorelarks at Gibraltar Point NNR.
RSPB Volunteering Biodiversity Surveyor required at Tetney Marshes
Specialist natural history/wildlife knowledge of invertebrates (sand dune and saltmarsh habitats), especially Coleoptera beetles. An opportunity to assist the RSPB in improving its management of reserves for species other than birds. Chance to survey a new area and possibly discover a local or national rarity!
Minimum commitment: 1 day a week, hours to suit Summer 2004.

Grey Phalarope at Tetney Marshes 7th Nov 2003 - on haven, seaward side of lock gates - TA 354 032. Could conceivably be the same bird present and photographed at Humberstone Yacht Club on the 16th October. The evening tide could possibly push it close to lock gates?
