Slavonian Grebe

Slavonian Grebe Barton March 11th 2002, surprisingly this is only the 13th record of this species in the Barton-New Holland clay pits area, comparatively there have been 11 Black-necked and 19 Red-necked Grebes although 8 of the Red-necked occurred in the early 1979 influx and a further 4 in early 1996. All of the Slavonian Grebes have occurred in the November-March period with the exception of one in April 1992.
