This is the male Ring Ouzel that was found dead in Thealy north of Scunthorpe on March 18th 2002 having flown into a house window. Clearly a male this is a very early record for the county and presumably a British bird en route to its breeding grounds. Most of our bird occurring in late April and the first half of May are more likely to be of Scandinavian stock. The skin is being preserved.
