Kumlien's type Iceland Gull (first-winter type)

A very coarsely patterned first-winter Kumlien's type bird, the attached photos give the general impression of the bird showing its jizz and in the best shot a hint of the primary pattern. The bird has a fairly well pronounced sub-terminal tail band and a mostly dark bill from all angles. The sloping forecrown and flat head are suggestive of Kumlien's as is the early moult of some of the upper mantle feathers that are already grey in tone.
