After nearly 2 weeks absence, I managed to get down to my local walk to see what was about. It was all very quiet. After an hour I'd seen very little and was trudging back to the car. One last scan of the boundary fence posts provided a little white blob in the distance. Once the bins were up I saw the distinctive shape of a barn owl sitting on a post. The 'up' owl had finally shown itself! My 100% record was intact. Every visit since May 24th has yielded at least one barn owl. The only other birds of note last night were:

Kestrel x 3
Egyptian Geese x 2
Greylag Geese x7
