The Lincsbirdnews mailing list is a free service run by the Lincolnshire Bird Club webmaster and is for use by anybody with an interest in birding in Lincolnshire. If you are not familiar with mailing lists, the Lincsbirdnews list works in the following way. You send an email to the list and everybody else, including yourself, is automatically sent a copy. Likewise if you reply to a posting on the list, by clicking the reply button in your email package, the reply will be automatically sent to everybody on the list.

The quickest way to join the e-group is to enter your e-mail address in the above box and click 'join here'. You will be sent an e-mail with the full joining instructions. Its free, quick and it is as easy to un-subscribe as it is to subscribe!

There are not very many rules but please read this page before joining the list. The following type of postings will not be tolerated and any persistent offenders will be removed from the list.

• The posting of locations of rare breeding birds.
• Any offensive language.
• Commercial advertising.
• Attachments. ( Please note that it is not possible to send attachments to the newsgroup)
• Off-topic messages.
• Test messages.
• HTML formatted messages.

Netiquette
The following are some general guidelines to using the list. If you have anything you think should be added then please email the webmaster.

Quoting
Please only quote the relevant parts of the message you are responding to and remove any signatures.

Go to http://www.yahoogroups.com and click the My Groups tab. You will need to register with Egroups but this is free and simply involves thinking of a password.
