Possible New Birds to Lincolnshire - What will be Next?

"What's Next For Lincolnshire?" by Mike Tarrant.

In a recent memo to the Lincs Bird Club e-group, Steve Botham posed the question about which species would be the next new one for the Lincolnshire list. As his invitation seemingly fell on deaf ears with only Little Crake being proposed, I have put forward my predictions. They fall into five categories from species which might seem almost certainties in the near future to "tongue-in-cheek" dream birds. Should any of these species have been found in the county before this article is posted on the website, I apologise for being out-of-date !

Part 1 - Long Overdue Species.

Part 2 - Topical.

Part 3 - Near-Misses.

Part 4 - Long Shots.

Part 5 - Dream Birds.
