Sea Bird Wreck?
At the moment it looks like we might be seeing the start of another seabird wreck along the Norfolk coast. It would be interesting to see if this is also occuring further north. So, it would be great if people could report back on what they find over the weekend - numbers, species etc... We are very keen to receive details of any ringed birds, so have a look at as many bodies as possible for rings!
These can then be reported via the BTO website at www.bto.org and clicking on the "Report a ringed bird" link on the right-hand side. This will give us an idea of where these dead and dying birds are coming from. We've already received details of a Dutch-ringed bird, so you never know what you might find!

Wetter is better for Humber nature reserve
A tidal surge that flooded an important Humber nature reserve in January 2005 will be good for local wildlife.
The RSPB's Blacktoft Sands nature reserve in East Yorkshire had to be closed to visitors when the biggest tidal surge for 20 years flooded the site on the night of Wednesday 12 January.
